Thinking of getting a poker game together and if a success we maybe have a regular monthly session. Matt is ok with this.
So I know myself and Dom are deffo in for it. (and Dom seemed to have some skills in shuffling hmmm maybe a shark....)
Thinking say £10 or £5 buy in and winner takes all . Standard Texas Hold 'um Rules.
Is anyone else interested?

When you say starndard hold'em, I pesume you mean no limit with fixed buy in?
I have casino weight chips if we need them. Bounty hunters are a pretty cool spin on the standard set up too if you fancy a break from the norm.

yeah no limit fixed buy in . Hmm bounty hunters have to show ignorance not sure what that is!
Yeah 6 - 8 is probably the ideal size. Any larger and we'd probably need to have 2 games going at once.
I'd be definitly up for this. Bit rusty on the rules but can read up in time.

well i have one "professional" set which should easily do 6 or so people with chips and cards.
and i have a second smaller set if we need it.
so with Viruk that is 5 maybe we should start throwing dates around!? What night would suit people the best?
During the week wednesdays or fridays are usually best for me.
well im a bit limited during the week , i was gonna suggest sunday afternoon

Works exactly the same, but each palyer also has a set "Bounty" on their head, say a fiver. If you "kill" someone you get a share of their bounty (usually 60%) to keep instantly and the 40% goes in to your bounty, thus making it more profitable forsomeone to "kill" you.
Promotes agressive play and means you can still get some cash if you crap out before the prizes, due to kills.

I could do sunday afternoon. am training for a marathon but if do training run in morning then could do poker afternoon!

Sounds interesting though. If we did £5 in and £5 bounties I'd be willing to give it a try.

well i can also do Wed/Mon/Friday nights (note the single chap.....) so am flexible!
I'm free any day except Thursday.
with my experience of poker the games can go on for quite a while , so we should really put a time limit on the game so it doesnt run to late , as i dont know about others it takes me a bit of time to get home from the club.
considering ill probably be doing tues/thurs for a while for the campaign , the only other day i can make is monday.
but if thats not possible i am happy to bow out for now but im still happy to donate my poker set to the game if necessary.
I wouldn't mind trying my hand at poker with real people: the blackberry poker is getting old quickly...
My available nights are usually Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.
