Tories, Lib Dems, Labour... BNP? UKIP?
Just curious.
I studied British politics quite a bit here in the states before deciding to change my area of study.
I find it difficult to stand the browns.
You gotta love Nick Griffin's speeches... and the impending rotten eggs about to be thrown. haha
I think there is a rule when it comes to pubs:
No religion
No politics
No fisticuffs
Take for instance tonight at my local outside of London. Some cock head called my dad a scottish c**t a couple of months ago. I decided tonight would be a good night to raise the subject with him, creating some what of a stir and a few scared people as I held the pool cue.
I apologize, if this topic is inappropriate please by all means I can delete the thread or a moderator can feel free to do so. Just wanted to start up a friendly conversation topic to satisfy my political curiosity.
Over here, politics is always a eager conversation topic, esp here in the capital of Washington. I was curious what the political affiliation of the average British Londoner was.
You don't have to delete it! It's fine! That's interesting that politics is a popular conversation topic in the states. Over here, it tends to be much more contraversial, especially since the Cross Gaming club is situated in central London, and we have a wide spread of different background for musicians to bankers and finacial analysts! Maybe because historically we had a much broader political spectrum than you have in the States? There was a time when Labour and the Tories were radically different in terms of policies and party make up and the political party you supported was (and still is) closely linked to your class! Anyway....don't be embarrased, you haven't made some sort of horrific 'faux pas'!
P.S. Labour probably at the next elction!
Ummm... none of the above. I work very hard to keep politics out of the club since It's (sort of) what I do for a living. That said, ask me about it in person and you'll find I've got plenty of views to share around.
Can we get the spam post deleted though before someone clicks on it!!
Imagine if it was genuinely offering discount hollidays to Pattaya for club members though....and we just deleted it, wouldn't we feel like a bunch of 'nanas then?!! Ah well, we'll never know now!
Good to see I'm one of the bellends that clicked BNP for shitz and giggles. I wonder who the other one is... I know Matt doesn't like the browns.

Maybe it was the other you?
I clicked "other", because I think they're all a bunch of souless cunts who are more interested in furthering their careers than exercising any sort of genuine political agenda.
Actually, that IS the Tory political agenda, now I come to think of it

.
Haha, so right Mertaal!
Actually, I have to say, the club is probably one place where you could talk about almost anything and people wouldn't start chucking personal insults around like what happens most of the time. Either there are no bell ends here, or we are all massive bell ends. Either way it works!

or we've all been round Vish to long and dont say what we actually think but rather say what would get a noticable reaction out of the other person*
*the above comment may or may not be true depending oun your political view.
I've always been like that anyway lol
It's more fun that way!
The only thing is, I do say what I think, because what I'm usually thinking is, how can I get a reaction out of this person? lol

I voted for 'Other' as there was no option for the 'Vish is my god and every other fucker is getting burned down to their socks' party.
I want to vote for the Party Party.
How come squat parties etc are illegal? Yet we're in a massive illegal war that somehow our government considers legal? Hmmmmmm. NO YOU CAN'T HAVE FUN! YES YOU CAN JOIN UP AND KILL PEOPLE!

While I'd love to talk about politics, think this video by Dave Chappelle (2000) sums it up quite nicely.
Here.
