Well folks, didn't get to see as many of you as I had hoped, but I reckon Sam and Andre will have spilled the beans.
Yup, I'm now a Press Ganger. As such I am hoping to be working closely with Tom to support his great efforts pushing PP games at the club and training you all up to become an elite gaming force to come take on the Tanelorn boys.
I'm thinking of running a short tourney (one night battlebox) to test the waters so keep an eye out for details soon.
Hopefully this will be the start of great things for PP in London.
If you have any ideas or suggestions please don't hesitate to get in touch.

I heard about it, Sam was his usual over-excited self!
It would be great fun to run, especially as we'd probably only need 3 4x4 tables (ie: 2 6x4 tables) over one and a half sessions to get a decent number of gamers and games in...
I do really think WM has a distinct advantage over Hordes at the battlebox level though.
Sorscha, Denny and Kreoss are somewhat more "instant win" than Madrak and Morghoul...

Further more. The Watford Wargames Federation has 3 PP players. 2 who have just started out. Was wondering if you would want to pop down there at some point.

I've just got my support pack in the post and was pleased to find a few extras than what I was expecting.
Sooooo, first up I am thinking a 350 pt tourney. Four games, possibly steam roller scenarios (no ridge raiders!) 5 min turns. Restrictions as follows. All armies must be 350 pts, including 200 pts of jacks, 0-1 solos and 0-1 units. This means no inf spamming, no major nasty combos and a good old fashioned punch up between robot and beast. What do people think? 5 mins sounds like a short time, but with so few models you should make it. I was playing in seven mins for most of the masters and that was with my denny inf list. I will provide basic prize support but if people want to pay a small entry fee then I can get something for first place and maybe best painted. I reckon eight players (two tables split into 3x4' sizes).
So, do we have eight players?
I reckon Sam, Andre and Tom are a yes, who else wants to join them?
Summer rampage, hell yes. It will cost a small amount to play as I want to order the full packs including the badges etc, but this means everyone gets a participation pin and will probably be in the running for the medals. Don't think I am allowed to play so no toys for me
I reckon we might be able to run this in conjunction with Tanelorn if people fancy it.
Regarding the Watford club, I will get in touch with them to organise a demo night I reckon. Does anyone have any links with them?
I'm also thinking a demo night at the club might be in order. Maybe we can hook in some more of the 40K/Fantasy lot and if someone wants to help out we can demo four people at a time. Maybe after the tourney once everyone sees how cool WM/ Hordes is.
Please feel free to shoot ideas my way and lets make the Charing X PP scene the best in London.

Is this just WM, or when you refer to robots etc, do you also include beasts in there automatically?

I enjoyed last nights Battlebox games. I'm going to post on the challenges thread just now for some more practice. Hopefully I will have found out what works best for my Menoth by then.
