Cross Gaming Club Forums

This is the thread where you match up games for the coming weeks. In which case you basically challenge people you know to a game and insult their "Page 5itude". Here I've copied the match up stuff, from the other thread and amalgamated it all. The webpage is up so get cracking on the places you want to fight!


If you wish to book a Summer Rampage game next week, follow the outlines set by Tom but if you could also state your faction and the territory you wish to invade. I will randomly generate your map for you and post it up in the challenge thread.

So the sequence goes:
1) Grab an opponent, and by that I mean call them out!
2) Pick the size of game: 500, 750 , 1000+ (Not recommended)
3) Check your faction priority and the player with the higher priority at the time of posting will choose territory by heading here.
4) I will roll your scenario and map, which I will provide for you in the thread and will arrive with terrain.
5) Fight!
6) I will record the results on my laptop or on the fight slips I will handout.

Here's an example of a game that has been matched up will look like:

Hey, new to Charing Cross, I normally game over with the Tanelorn guys.

I'll be fighting for the glory of the Skorne empire, and will willingly crush anyone foolish enough to stand in my way.

I'm hoping to find a 750 point game for Tuesday the 25th August. Prefer the early session, but can do the later one.

I really, really wish I could be involved in this! By the time I get back, the Rampage will be finished! Why should I go and visit my wife's family now?

Still the upside of it is, I may try and pop in at PP HQ while I'm there.

samhordes - Yo man, I'm back and with dancingmonkey we've split London down the middle. He's gonna be handling Tanelorn and I'll be doing Charing Cross. I'm gonna be down next week so it will be good to have a chat. Did you get your copy of the Retribution book? Any models? Maybe you could fight for Legion in the Rampage? They need your help! Rhyas!!

Andres - I'll send you a PM when I get home with the details for the game. And yes, I will be fielding Jack(s)!

Ok, I've updated the thread with a poll on which rules to use as I have noticed players have been intimidated by the sheer weight of dodgy stuff being thrown their way. If you want to play omitting certain rules, you can as I ain't no Nazi when it comes people playing their games. Post and tell me what you think.

Also I have added the rules in Printer Friendly if you want them, they are in the Opening Post. Cheers.

Ok, The Fungineer (Young Sam) has priority with Khador so he can pick the territory and I'll roll map and scenario and post them up. Still have three players looking for a game. Hop to it guys!

Ok, the Other Matt has priority with his Cygnar against gold_penguin. Looks like a grudge match between Skorne and Cygnar!! Like the the old days! PM sent!

Hey Vish, haven't got a PM from you...

Mig and I will most likely be playing Summer Rampage, but I guess we'll roll scenarios etc on the day, as surely that's when we'll know priority etc...?
Also, Mig is without internet at the moment, so he doesn't know what the rest of the world's Trollkin have been up to, nor is he registered.

That's cool, what I'll do is print out the priority and just bring generic terrain and stuff for you guys. For Mig, I'll note locations that he may wish to help in the war effort if he has priority.

Ok guys, finished everything so far. For games that will be chosen tomorrow I will print priority before I leave the house tomorrow and bring it with me. Trolls are currently holding Ios at all costs so Miggy probably wants to cover the other Kriels by fighting there.

I have made goodie bags with terrain and stuff for the games tomorrow including score cards and have printed copies of the rules for Finishing Moves and Rampages. I will probably make more goodie bags for next week if I can find out who is fighting where ahead of time. I will also be donating my left over terrain tomorrow so the Circle players (Tom?) can rejoice in more trees. When I come back from Portsmouth I shall also bring my Mordhiem terrain as their busted up buildings are good for the club also.

I presume you mean apart from whatever you'll be bringing for our rampage games??? Do I get to know what the scenario is?
