Ok: I'm thinking of running a Dark Heresy campaign starting in January.
I'll be running the campaign from my house in Greenwich and I anticipate that we'll be playing for about 4hrs once per fortnight, on a day to be sorted at everyone else's convenience (I'm imagining a Wednesday evening, or maybe a Sunday afternoon).
I just wanted to garner how much interest there was in a campaign, really. We started one earlier this year, which sadly had to be scrapped as our GM had too much on his plate, but in the few games we had, we had an excellent team of players and much mirth.
I'll be working on the campaign over the next few months, and it'll be very 40k (ie - gnarly). Mwahaha.
Oh, and just to prove that this isn't an enormous flop of a post, we have two, possibly three, players signed up already

Possibly four (or 5)
(but no books in posession i'm afraid)

My account = password wiffly.
yes, it is i, theamazingpete (not amazing enough to work out password stuff though)
Goddamn it... I miss London

I wondered if you'd left; where are you, Michael?

The Dread Northern Wastes... or possibly just Kislev (Birmingham)
As stated in Civ 2 though... I will return, oh yes
Final call for players in this bleakest of bleak, gnarliest of gnarly DH campaign!

I'm sorely tempted Tim, but time is very thight at the mo. My missus is raising concerns that I spend too much time away gaming etc at the mo and I'm very tired from all the Press ganging and other stuff I do.
Sounds crazy but could we run it online via MSN or similar allowing me to play wirelessly? Just an idea. Not quite play by mail and not as much fun as chilling out with you all, but at least a start until things settle down here.
Cheers.
Jon.
Don't worry Jon, I understand - you go to three of four clubs already, right?
I could do - or indeed, I could easily run a concurrent, albeit tangental, narrative with you online, based in the same setting, and then perhaps join you up with the rest of the team at a later date.
Im def upfor this (Paul btw!)
I can pick up a rule book if it helps any, or I can pick up an expansion book or Rogue Trader if you want. I have never RPed before so will need tutoring (I have set up a character for Vampire but it never got off the ground, boo) but I would love to get involved with this.
Oh. Awesome!
Hah, we really needed an extra player, so this might work quite well - you only live in Woolwich, right?
Yep so Greenwich is ideal for me, Is it worth me picking up any of the books? I was gonna one day anyway now I have an excuse!
It's totally up to you: they're not the cheapest of things, but it'd probably be beneficial for you to have a good read of the rules. It's a lovely book anyway, tbh, so worth having: you'd just need the core rules.
Will do, Its something I have wanted to get into for a long time so it will be a good investment!
Excellent! We may be starting a bit earlier than January, too.
Thats ok with me, when are you thinking of now?
Depends on how the next few weeks go, tbh - but some time in Nov/Dec, I think.
Oi, Paul.
We'll be starting the campaign in January after all, *but* if you can, PM me your character ideas so I can see how they fit into the narrative I'm writing and I can get some behind the scenes stuff going on.
