Well, it's been a few days since the event, and I thought I'd write out my experiences here...
I managed to play 5 games through the day.

The list:
The Stampede was a 450 point event, but this does not include a 'caster/lock. Instead, you pick any three from your faction, and roll randomly to pick one before every game.
I took:
Kaya/Kromac/Mohsar
Pureblood Warpwolf
Warpwolf
Shadowhorn Satyr
3 Tharn Wolf Riders
Shifting Stones
Blackclad Wayfarer

Game 1: Kromac vs. Phil Gedge's Legion
Thagrosh
Carnivean
Seraph
Harrier
2x Shredders
Forsaken
Totem Hunter
Wrong Eye and Snapjaw

Victory!
Notable moments:
Lots of charity re-rolls involved in Totem Hunter charging the Shadowhorn (we could buy 5 re-rolls for 5 pounds, going to a Breast Cancer charity).
Kromac feated to kill a shredder with Warp Strike (and to screw up fury management for Thaggy next turn).
The Wolf Rider leader rolled crappy to kill the hunted Wrong Eye... Sad times.
The seraph missed the last wolf rider, which stopped me loosing on scenario... Lucky lucky!
The carnivean rolled an 11 to frenzy into, and kill, a shifting stone. This put him in charge range of the Shadowhorn... who chain-pitched it at Thagrosh. He missed, though =(
Kromac charged and killed Thagrosh, using up 7 fury to get there... Luckily he only had one transfer, and I kept rolling crappy damage... Hee hee...

Game 2: Kaya vs. Ole's Cygnar
Stryker
+Thorn
+Squire
10 SKs + UA
+Sentinel
Black 13th
Arlan Strangeways
GMCA
Journeyman Warcaster

Loss!
Notable moments:
My Blackclad and the GMCA spent the whole game having tea in the middle of No-Man's Land, off on one flank. Neither of them managed to hit the other over 3 rounds...
I constantly got Kaya's activation order wrong - Moving the Wolf Riders on turn one before casting Cloak of Mists on them... Getting Kaya doing things before my heavies when I needed to Spirit Door... Argh!
3 Sword Knights killed the Warpwolf and the Shadowhorn... Stupid flank.
Kaya got a charge off against Arlan (who was standing in front of Stryker), and Spirit Doored the Pureblood into melee with Stryker... unfortunately, he'd feated.
Somehow, I managed to do one point of damage against ARM25.
I then lost. I think the Sentinel actually got the kill-shot. Oh, the shame!

Game 3: Kromac vs. Conrad's Circle
Kromac
Warpwolf
Gorax
Argus
Sentry Stone
Feralgeist
4 Ravagers + Shaman
6 Wolves + UA

Victory!
Notable moments:
One (regular) Wolf Rider, aided with Brutality, eats all of the Ravagers. I think this ability might be 'broken'.
A turn of epically failing at guessing distances leads to both of my Warpwolves making failed charges. Sad times. The Shadowhorn takes up position behind them (operation: Wolf Shield), and Kromac positions himself to take advantage of the blood to come.
The enemy beasts kill both Warpwolves, with the Feralgeist possessing the Pureblood when Kromac kills it... I'm sad.
The Shadowhorn leaps over the carnage, throws (enemy) Kromac towards (friendly) Kromac, who munches him into tasty morsels. Mmmm, Tharny.

Game 4: Mohsar vs. Andy Harris' Menoth
High Reclaimer
+Crusader
+Guardian
+Reckoner
3 Wracks
6 Choir boys
Paladin of the Order of the Wall
Eiryss

Victory!
Notable moments:
My wolf riders ran from Wracks aura of god-awful terror... This made me very sad, as if they hadn't, I probably would have been rid of Eiryss and the Choir (gotta love always being in formation).
The heavys spent the game beating each other up... I got the drop, trashed the Guardian and Reckoner over 3 turns, for the loss of the Warpwolf (eventually).
My Blackclad charged the High Reclaimer and did about 8 damage to the old gimmer... Gotta love that axe!
In a last ditch attempt to avert loss, the Crusader charged Mohsar (after the High Reclaimer destroyed a Pillar of Salt with magic) but damage was transfered to the Shadowhorn...
The Pureblood used Spirit Hunter to move through the smoking Menoth wrecks, and ate the High Reclaimer. Mmmm, faithful.

Game 5: Kromac vs. Chris Wood's Retribution
Garryth
+Hydra
+Griffon
10 Invictors + UA
+Soulless
Aiynana + Holt
Narn
Eiryss

Loss!
Notable moments:
In the second turn, the Invictors and Hydra shot the Pureblood up a bunch, hurting him quite a lot, which was pretty impressive.
The Warpwolf charged the Griffon and did a bunch of damage with his charge attack, but missed his second...
The Shadowhorn jumped into melee on the flank of the Invictors, to try and stop them shooting me more...
The Pureblood took up 'healing' positions towards the back of the army, and Kromac moved up behind him.
Unfortunately the length of the day was getting to me by this point, and I totally forgot that Garryth wasn't hiding at the back of the army.
He was also in charge range of Kromac. He totaled him in one hit. I am very sad.

Overall, a really nice day out, and a bunch of fun games with some great guys.
I was rather shocked to win the Most Sporting award at the end of the day, but I guess no one managed to see through my visage of niceness into the evilness inside...!

-Tom.
You were truly evil Tom but I was not taken in by your pure evilness and so never voted for you as my Most Sporting player - honest!
My version of the day is now posted on my gaming blog if anyone is interested.
Sounds like some cool games Dan, hope you enjoyed it.
Really enjoyed your reports of previous games, too.
Very cool to see a learning process ongoing, taking one thing from every game is a really useful thing to try and get into the habit of doing, and you seem to be doing it awesomely.

-Tom.
Sounded like an amazing tourney. The Tanelorn certainly know how to throw a good bash.

London Riots 2010??

Sam
