Is anyone playing any boardgames at the club at the moment? Is there an area available?
I've got tons of them and generally struggle to find the opportunity to play so this seems like the ideal chance for me. The perfect situation would be to get a wargame in one session, then a boardgame in the other. Having one's cake and eating it perhaps.
Top of my want to play list right now are:
Incursion - 2-player WW2 zombie Space Hulk
Warhammer Invasion - 2-player WFB card game
Chaos in the Old World - 4-player awesomeness
I have all of the above so it's really just a question of finding willing participants/victims
I wouldn't mind to try Warhammer Invasion, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it to the club next week
Does anyone play the Call of Cthulhu LCG? I've played a few games of Warhammer Invasion, and although it's a good game, it didn't really grab me.
Now Lovecraft, on the other hand ... I love his books, have been reading them (and scaring myself silly) since early teens. I just had a couple of intro games of the CoC card game, and it is utterly brilliant. Really involved, more complex than Invasion. The artwork on the cards is lovely and truly evocative, and I really like the way they've balanced out the factions so they all have meaningful strengths and weaknesses within their play styles. Plus every card has a counter in some form, so there seem to be limited opportunities for the auto-win combo.
I'm going to pick up the starter box and first expansion soon. If anyone fancies a game, let me know.
I've got some CoC cards and would be happy to play.
i dont have a copy but ive recently played decent in melbourne and im pretty keen to get it happening when im back over in london..
On the topic of cards, the new Magic: The Gathering set came out yesterday.

I'd be up for a game of Incursion - won't be around this Tuesday, but should be around for the 27th session (but also want to try and fit in a game of Malifaux that evening). I'd also be interested in a multiplayer game of Arkham Horror. I also have Conflict of Heroes, Last Night on Earth and Wings of War (the latter two could be copnsidered minis boardgames) which I'd like to give a spin at some time. A game of Descent sounds very appealing...
yeah ive been drafting magic over in melbourne.. got a few decks together and i'm pretty keen for some magic when i get back fishy. i fly out tomorrow and ill be back in london on wednesday should be down the club the following week.
i dont actually own decent machen but i might try pick it up over the next few months.. im shipping warhammer quest over though. just finished printing off a few expansions so ill be playing that too.
pretty light on models for it though.. got a vamp counts army that i can use for some of the nasties..

I have Descent, with the majority of the minis painted, so would be happy to run a game at some point (probably during one of the Sunday sessions). If anyone else is interested, let me know.
I also have Warhammer Quest, but have yet to play it - also haven't painted up the minis yet, though like you, Dezul, I have a good few WHFB minis I could use in place of the WQ models. Would also be up for a game/campaign of this at some point.
