(Westcombe Park Station, 15 mins from London Bride on the overland train. Zone 3)

Well, we made some good progress with the modelling session.
We are looking at filling our GW empire buildings with expanded foam to give them a little more strength. To do this I’m going to need to blind off the windows so wondered if anyone had any off cuts or spare sheets of plasti-card that they could bring along to the club tomorrow?

Sorry I missed this, would have come down but it was my niece's first birthday party. I'm away for 2 weeks or so, but would love to get involved on projects like this in future.

dont know what experience you have with using expanding foam but be very careful it is really strong (I have put it into a door frame and had to re-fit the frame due to bowing!!) do it in small layers letting each dry properly first or you will get a liquid centre, if it drips let it dry before you clean it as it is sticky as hell. finally , the can will give exact details, it will expand to like around 50x its liquid size so a little is a lot!

Erk! Yeah, I'm not sure expanding foam is the best idea in the world, tbh...

Nothing as of yet that will make an impressive pictue and ropey images from my phone im afraid but heres the WIP

Oh I can't believe I missed this. Man I feel like such a douche. I spent the whole day painting Eldar in white, this would have been far more fun.

Plenty more days to come and I will start adding in a few sessions in addition to Sundays

Sorry to say epic fail in me turning up - was at a fancy dress party Sat night (as Obi Wan) and er did not stop drinking till 4! Yesterday had the worst hangover in the last five years... Pathetic excuse I know!

No worries mate,
Paul was round and has donated box loads of Hurst castings to the cause. We got around 1/2 way through sorting that lot out and I nearly have one of the Empire buildings basecoated now.
As far as I know we still have a bit of building work going on with the Anphelion base tonight, you gonna be around for that?

I'll post up some more WIP pics after tonight
