Surely if we have a name change it has to be related to the bridge, such as Trolls, or the London Dungeon?
Do we need a name change?

Nah - The Cross Gaming Club will be around for a while . the name has a history. Plus our logo is just cool!
Good good.

We should get t-shirts now.

Tis in the pipeline Wink cross logo for anyone who does not know - it is the Crux Terminatus with a pair of dice in the middle

Also we are looking into CGC dice, badges , condoms et al to "brand" the club better
UPDATE:
We will be moving the boards and scenery from the Bell and Compass to St Christopher’s Inn on Monday night.
We have access at the new venue from 9pm onwards so will look to load up at Charing Cross around 7.30pm
We have one space in the Van if anyone is available to help and could always use a couple of extra bodies at the Charing Cross end to help get the stuff out the cellar nice and quick.

Regards,
Chris
im happy to help if you need some more hands, bit late to this whole thread but this is great news, so much easier for me to get home!
We could theoretically take more, the back will be clearer by then Tongue we wont be going far so it wont be too scary!
@Luke - do you have a digital copy of the CGC logo by any chance? I don't know why it's dropped off the site, but I can't now find it.
Hey all

I'm the lucky guy who co-runs the bar where you lot will be next Tuesday. I spoke to Chris today and everything seems to be ready to go. I'm looking forward to this and want to make it as ideal as possible for everyone, so feel free to give me feedback whenever. The first day will probably have some teething issues, so bear that in mind.

@Luke: I second the need for a copy of the CGC image, I'll see if I can get some posters/banners done up.

As an aside, I was wondering how much advertisement you want for the club. I am happy to keep it at nil and just have current and word-of-mouth members, but if there is any promotional stuff needed I can get good-to-zero prices on it. Let me know.

Anyhoo, I have a Friday night off miraculously, so I'm cracking on with painting to finally get my orks ready for a battle.

I'll try and get a menu and drinks list up in the next 24 hours.

Matt@the Inn... better crack open some ale Wink
I for one will be knocking those back lol
Looking forward to this session!
Can we book tables for the new venue already?

If so, I'd like to book a table in the second session for me and yellowduck, please. We'll be playing 40k.

Thanks muchly!

Craig.

Check out the new challenge thread. Yellowduck beat you to it.
The enthusiasm makes me happy.

Not much painting done - too much time trying to get a running pose on the new dread. Then I realised the rest of my army is fairly staticly posed. Dichotomy needs resolving.

Are members of the committee going to be there on Tuesday. I feel I should introduce myself.
I think the new venue sounds fantastic. If possible, can you please take some photos of the space where we will be playing.

So far it sounds to me that if the place is as good as it sounds, we won't be going bell and compass again.
No pics at the moment. When I have access to work computers tomorrow, I'll post some
Hmmm. After an hour of messing about, I still can't work out how to get back the original logo Tom did. I suspect it's locked away on the server somewhere, and I wouldn't know how to get to it even if I had the password. Which I don't. :petulantscowlsmiley:

I've tried cropping and resizing the logo you posted above, Chris, but even by linking it from photobucket it doesn't seem to want to play. Anyone have any ideas?
If someone emails me this weekend, I can get the new or old logos sorted out in the next 2-3 weeks... Which is the rough eta on me having internets for real again...

-Tom.
