Hi guys,
As Nick has said in the challenges thread, we don’t have the use of the Bell and Compass for the next few weeks.
Seems like a long time to go without a game so we are going to relocate to a potential new venue we have been looking at to give it a trial.
We can then decide, based on feedback from you guys and probably a poll, if we like the idea of making the move permanent.
We will have the tables and scenery there so feel free to come down for a game or just have a few beers, a chat and check the place out.
The Place itself is a pub called St Christophers Inn on Borough High Street
This has a basement function room available for us to use
Some info here:
http://www.viewlondon.co.uk/pubsandbars/...15584.html
The location is right next to London Bridge Station
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&source...11362&z=17
This is about 2mins walk for the underground (Northern line Bank branch And Jubilee line)
& 5mins from London Bridge overland
I have been down to look at it and done a quick survey.
Below is a preliminary plan with a couple of table arrangement options.
(Scale is 1cm = 1m @A3 paper size)
If I have chance I will reattach the photos which are not on my work PC currently

There seems to be a fair bit going for this venue.
Hopefully the location is still convenient for all
Very nice range of beers and the food seems good
Members will get a 10% discount on the beer and food
The owners are gamers themselves and are likely to be far more friendly and accommodating
We get more space
The room is far more private
We have better access to the store for working on scenery etc
The pub is open till 1am so extended opening times could be considered
More potential for weekend/extra events
Accommodation upstairs if we were to host a tournament
Free Wifi (bring your laptop & check those lists/rules at the pub)
Hope you make it along to check it out for yourselves & look forward to hearing your thoughts.
Regards,
Chris
