Did some work on my Ork Nobz tonight.
They are still WIP but should be finished them soon. As I dont field Nobz squads that often and I already have around 15 nobz already painted, I am just trying to get these guys done to a Tabletop level.
Not happy with the checkers on the Axe need to redo them. Did not really plan them out just started doing them and it looks a mess.

I vow to finish my Man-O-War Shock Troopers, Doom Reavers and Beserker ( if i get my hands on at least one! ).
Updated, sorry to leave it so long. How is everyone getting on? I am way behind, but got my manhunter finished. Hopefully I will get some pics up tonight of him, otherwise it will be tomorrow.
@Talos - Lovely Orks there. I am impressed with the colours and they should look pretty smart when they are finished.
I've had to put everything on hold as I'm mixing my album so it can be mastered.
Oh, and the last 3 days haven't been fun... I SWEAR I WILL NEVER EAT ANOTHER CHICKEN!

Did you get it from a dodgy chicken shop? probably isn't chicken then. You should be saying "I SWEAR I WILL NEVER EAT ANOTHER PIGEON!"
No, it was tesco's free range, cooked perfectly and well within date!!! See... try and eat healthy and go against the factory farming industry and look what you get eh!
It's funny, both me and my gf got it, though she is better now, but as we were eating it, we both commented on how tasty it was. Maybe it was the added bacteria.
Coincidentally, I was just reading this article:
http://www.nhs.uk/news/2009/10october/pa...g-bug.aspx
Can't have been this for our one though, it was cooked thoroughly all the way through.

I will finish 20 Ork boyz with shootas, build and paint

Im Gonna go mad and add finish painting 15 grots and a runtheard!
I have finished Morvhanna and the Lord of the Feast... Pics sometime soon, I guess.
Based the Druid unit too... yay!
-Tom.
Oooh oooh, I need pics of the druids pleez. I'm a little stuck as to what to do with them. I truly hate highlighting black, as it always looks like flat sections of black, with a splodgy line of grey painted on the edge. Doesn't matter whether I fine line highlight or attempt to blend, it still looks poo. Need to be impressed (and a bit intimidated) by your no-doubt excellent efforts, Tom. Also, how did you do Morv? Green cloak / dress like the PP scheme? I'm thinking of doing the druids in DA Green cloaks, so wondering how it comes off. Obv this also means I'd have to do my two 'Green-Clad Wayfarers' the same way though...
Trick to painting black is not to paint the bulk of your mini's black areas... black!
Use black as your shade only, and use very dark greys and lots of good blending or edging to get the desired effect. Kinda the reverse of painting white really. A touch of blue in the mix can often work nicely too.
GW will tell you that you can't get good results using white and black, and largely that is balls. A lot of their greys have a touch of blue blended into them, so all you have to do is put a little in, or even some browns, but if you want plain old shabby grey, black and white is fine (and it does have it's uses when applied properly).
Right, here is a crappy pic of my manhunter. I hope everyone is having a good time with their pledges. Would love to see models, and Tom, you need to post pics, I want to see how you have done morvanna.

Did I Say 20 orks?? I ment 40! 27 shootas and 7 sluggas 3 Rokkits and 3 Big shootas, dont forget the finish 15 grots! now thats a painting challange

Started on one of my lootas today. Never painted one before and it was a bitch, there is so much detail on them. The gun is huge and I was not sure want colour to paint it, did not want it all one colour but then did not want it to look odd.
Also note to self next time dont put lootas together and then paint. It is a pain getting to the ork body.
