Gooooooooooooooo!!!!!
(with no remorse i want to die)
Google it if you don't know what I am talking about.

Ahem... anyway...

Hi guys, its me again Big Grin
After my little get together with the club the other week I think its time I pulled out the stops and picked up my PG-ing again. Vish and I have made vague noises at each other about sorting out some events, but its time to stop fumbling in the dark and make it to third base.. no wait... Huh

So, what do you guys want? The new venue is better, not perfect but better. As such it is time to christen in true PP style by painting the walls with blood.. metaphorical blood from our little lead avatars.

With the upcoming Hordes laumch there is the possibility of that, or some steamroller fun, or something left field.

I can't commit as much time as I did last year due to personal things and a project that its starting to see light that I can't talk about yet. Sam will love it though... that's all I'm saying for now. So I probably can't run leagues without the assistance of my brother in black Vish. Tourneys are all good though, as well as the possibility of some Sat/Sun gaming.

What do you guys want from us though? I'm not here for vanities sake, so I want to put things on you want to partake in. I still think Tanelorn and Cross can forge closer links and we will be putting a team campaign weekend on soon that I really want you guys to attend.

So get in touch and let me know what we can do to make your game.

Cheers and looking forward to a solid end to 2010.

Jon.
Well, I would love to see a Sunday tournie. I have spoken to Matt the landlord and he is fine with weekend events, so I say we sort something out. Maybe at the end of July/begining of August

Well, early august is an issue as I am in America rocking up to Gencon, but I will try my hardest for late July. I'm getting an itch for running some more stuff, as that is the side of the hobby I am keen to explore more fully now.

Cheers mate.

Jon.
If you do mid to late-august, I reckon I may be able to join in one a sunday.
Jus' saying.

What, you think I'm going to delay things just for you... Big Grin

Mate, I am probably going to be rocking up more than one so I would be more than happy to see you for an event. Might even buy you a drink.

Ok, Marcus, I need to know what our max numbers are and how long we can have the location.

I've put July down as a goer already, I'm keen on this as I need some warm up for the top secret project next year.

Cheers,

and how the hell are you anyway Tom, they not ground you down yet?
Things are in flux for me at the moment so I don't want to commit to something and then pull out later. Life's pretty shit. :|

Hey mate, knowing some of what's going on with you don't panic. I got your back buddy Big Grin

Hell, if I can swing by every so often and give you an event to rock up in and play rather than worry about the meat and potatoes of event running (I know you are a meat and two veg guy Wink) then it will make me happy to know I am getting you some fun despite the crap going on. I will even let you use your non PP models, I know you don't like girls and all Big Grin

Hang in there mister, its dark times all round, but it will get better.

Cheers

Jon.
Thanks man, that would be nice. I'm not in the zone to run anything, usually I'm running excel while creating maps and setting up matches and sending emails. Smile

When you set something up, drop me a line. Until then I'll show people why I like Warmachine and chill when I come to the club. Big Grin

Cheers
Vish
maybe to support Vish. London to have a 3rd Press Ganger. Any of you two attached to the Dark Sphere store as the press ganger?

Regards
Sam
I'm attached to Dark Sphere but things have gotten crazy for me at the moment. I know Alexi really well, if you're thinking of heading down we should meet up. There's so much I want to chat to you about. Big Grin
I'm off to Dark Sphere tomorrow to support their tourney stuff. Obviously Vish is better placed than me to be there more regularly, but this town is actually big enough for the both of us and I think we can both offer our unique and differing services while still working towards the same goal (awesome gaming if you didn't know).

Vish and I have had some good thoughts since Salute and things are moving forwards nicely.

We just need the bodies now... or is it to hide the bodies. I forget.

Cheers.

Jon.
I'm going down Dark Sphere tomorrow too. That's awesome, should we meet up and have a chat? You got my number. Confused

I can bring people, but a lot of them won't know what warmachine or wargaming is. I don't think that's too helpful. Big Grin
Team campaign sounds awesome. But any event would be appreciated tbh, not really really fussed what format it takes

Well, I was hoping... =P

Things are good.
I have been meaning to drop you a PM at some point, but I am awful at communication.
Ironically.

Oh yeah, that would be awesome. Marcus has been talking about something like this for ages. It's something different too as we don't play many story driven games. It would be a nice change from the usual stuff. I was thinking of using some of the base rules from Apotheosis' campaign which was fucking awesome to run. It basically meant players made armies and used them to fight. If I did this in MK2 players would come together and clump into sides. Then a detachment list would be made for each force and players would be able to requisition models for use in their games. At the end of the game, attrition would kick in and players would note models destroyed. It's like having a living, breathing army. Sure fighting loads of battles is good, but if you lose them all, your team mates will suffer. Big Grin

It was fucking awesome. Plus I got to see an Epic Kreoss Army featuring:

Grand Exemplar Kreoss
> Hierophant
Exemplar Seneschal
Exemplar Seneschal
High Exemplar Gravus
High Paladin Dartan Vilmon
Paladin of the Order of the Wall
Paladin of the Order of the Wall
Exemplar Bastions [5] (2 added)
Exemplar Vengers [5] (2 added)
Knights Exemplar [6]
Knights Exemplar [6]
Knights Exemplar [6]

It was fucking hilarious. Especially when the Cryx player just blew up half they guys army with Pistol Wraiths and Bile Thralls. His team mates loved it though. Big Grin
yup, I was thinking escalation/apotheosis or legends would be the way forward.
Or, using one of the campaigns from this year and running it in two days not three weeks.

If we lock ourselves in the basement for two days and play solid WM we could get quite a few games in.

Good times.

Cheers.

Jon.
I have the maps from Apotheosis saved on my computer and the rules were pretty easy. I think that will be the best campaign to play. Tweaking it for MK2 should be pretty easy too. Big Grin
i still think you (vish and jon) should get together and do something with that mighty empires map vish has got. it is the IK kingdoms in a cool map form!
