This Tuesday, I'm gonna be running demonstration games of Warmachine. Warmachine's a pretty crazy ass game with loads of cool shit in it. Also the violence people can inflict in the game is stupendous. It's fast paced and doesn't take more than 20mins to play a small game. I couldn't find an actual image of what happens during a game, so the above image is the closest comparison. If you have played the Original Warmachine, I highly recommend trying out the new game. It's a lot better with a lot less clutter.

Did you set any points limit for those demo games? From my proxies I'm able to go with up to 35pts but I will be more comfortable with 20-25pts.

Anyway after a week of reading the units rules, rulebook and asking questions on forum I came up with that for 35pts:
Kromac -4pts
Pureblood Warpwolf 9pts
Feral Warpwolf 9pts
Warpwolf Stalker 10pts
6 Druids of Orboros 7pts
Lord of the Feast 4pts

My plan is quite simple. Wild Aggresion on WWS to make him hunt solo some infantry (supported by LotF), Kromac goes with FWW and PWW, and Druids work as a pulling/pushing fire support. What do you think? I was considering dropping LotF and putting Shifting Stones and Druid Overseer

Martin, that looks nice as a beast heavy list. I might be tempted not to take three heavies with Kromac - something like dropping either Feral or Stalker for Gorax plus some other stuff might be an idea. eg Druids UA + Stones + Blackclad instead of the Stalker. Blackclad's great for extending threat ranges or spraying infantry; stones help with fury management and healing beasts without being a burden on Kromac's fury; and the Druid UA makes his unit even more of a box of tricks. Devouring is great, Elemental Immunity is superb particularly against certain opponents, and Advance Deploy is so useful for allowing a first turn advance then vortex, while the beasts run up behind and still out of LoS.

Obv I haven't got any practice games proxying the Stalker yet, but from theorymachine I'm guessing either of the big dogs can fulfill an anti-heavy role, esp with the Gorax in there if needed. Bear in mind Kromac is one of the only Circle locks with no Str buff in his spells so Gorax can make a big difference.

Having said that, Three Warpwolves in any size list as a starting point has to be good! Get Inviolable out on one (or maybe the druids to make them a bit more survivable against blast damage - DEF18 in Vortex means they won't be taking direct hits ), Wild Aggression on another, and Warpath on Kromac early game. Then you're upkeeping them and using the rest of his Fury for Bestial or Rift and/or camping for transfers. Also you can always drop them later for an assassination run if the enemy caster gets within 13".

I'll try to catch you on Tuesday and we can have a chat. I've not been playing Circle that long, but I do know what you'll be facing against our local Warmachine players!

Wow, that's an awesome list. Unfortunately, we'll keep it straight forward with at 15 points (+WB/WJ Points), Caster and Beasts/Jacks. We can use bigger stuff, when we've had a hand at playing with only casters and beasts. Also some people only have a handful of models, so that would be kinda harsh for them.

So for example:
Type: Duel (1 caster, 15pts)
Points: 15
Kromac the Ravenous (*4pts)
* Warpwolf Stalker (10pts)
* Feral Warpwolf (9pts)

I'm usually around late sesh, but this week I'm on earlies for various reasons.
Would love to stick around but unlikely to happen this week. Put me down as a maybe though.
