Yesterday Vish said something about running campaign for WM/H. It would be nice to have something like that. Maybe shaped like the 'tale of X gamers'? Starting with small battlegroups and growing them as the campaign goes.
The aim for the campaign would be good fun and fully painted force (say 50pts) at the end.
I don't know anything about runing campaigns, but I'd love to take part. I belive some other guys will be interested as well.
What do you think Vish? Ready?
I think this is an awesome idea. I'm gonna need a show of hands for it, but I think it could really work quite well. Unfortunately myself, Marcus and Oli are currently training/painting for the European championships so we're trying to get loads of 50 point games in. After the 5th of July we'll be returning to the fold.
Let me send some message around the board and see what peoples thoughts are on the matter. If I can get four people who want to give it a go, I'll sort something cool out at the end of it.
I for one think its a great idea! and it would give me the much needed drive to paint my Legion
But like Vish said I won't be painting anything other any Cryx till the Tournie is through.
My idea for a campaign like that would probably go something like: Week one - Battle box. Week two 15pts (though a battlebox is pretty close to that). And so on and so forth. Though! The jump from between 15 to 25, and so on is quite big. So maybe a cap of 35pt would be better. This might make it more possible to do and keep the campaign from running to long - plus while I can paint well I'm a bloody slow painter
35pts is fine by me. And don't worry about the painting.. I'm aiming at nmm painted models and that will take some time.
We can start anytime people are ready (so after the championship) as I still have a lot of my daemons/other stuff to paint.
PS. If somebody wants to start another force - this is perfect opportunity!
Clapham are doing a new 40k army version of this which works quite well. Rather than limiting it to a number of pounds or points per week/month, they nominate a type of unit. i.e. first month has to be a Troops units (including transport if you wish). Next is an HQ model, etc.
This could translate easily into WM - eg first week would be a warlock/caster; second a jack or beast; then a unit; then a UA or solo, etc.

That My friend is a great idea! It would give everyone, short on time the chance to actually participate affectively.

That is awesome idea. I would make it two weeks though, as 6 to 10 man unit in a week is not possible for me (and I guess I'm not the only one with the 'lazy/busy painter syndrome')..
