yeah, it looks like you're right. They also got new sculpts.

yeah, all the new sculpts for the battle boxes are plastic. I am guessing this is due to quantity since they sell a lot of battle boxes. The plastic sculpts shown in Prime do look really good, though having seen my plastic warjack I am a bit worried about this. the Khador plastic jack is poo basically. I wish they had gone down the GW route for plastics since they are far better quality and the flexibility of posing, etc is far more exciting. I can understand why they didn't though.

Yeah, it's really frustrating that GW sculpting is just so good! I mean that sincerely - I actually want to dislike GW for their business practices etc, but like the (plastic) crack-whore that I am, I keep crawling back every time something new and shiny appears.
Marcus, are they actually all new sculpts, or just the same sculpt cast in plastic - I can't tell as I'm not that familiar with the WM casters. If they're completely new, does that mean there are now three different sculpts for some of the casters?
If so, I could have a bit of a moan about Hordes not having anything in plastic ... but then I play Circle so people have probably got used to my whining about everything by now ...

As long as the casters are available separately I'll be happy. I really want the new Sorscha sculpt but not enough to get two more plastic jacks as well.

Yes, they're actually new sculpts and some of them will have 3 different sculpts by now

Micho is right. I hope they are available seperately as well since I want to update Scorsha as well, but I am not buying plastic jacks which can only be made as a juggy and destroyer. GW is definitely the king of plastics out there. I dont do many GW games any more, though I love almost everything they produce.

What gets me about all this is, what does this mean for the newer plastic light 'jacks coming out at the end of June. Will they be releasing signle resin light warjacks, unlike the multi part heavies?
Also I found that the Cryx Resin 'jacks were really nice, an found that they weren't warped at all - But I have to say with my warspears from my legion, though I think they are great models, all the spears are warped and are going to be a pain to straighten out.

I think the new light jack types (Ripjaw, Firefly and that silly Menoth one) are the plastic multi-parts, but I might be wrong.
I'm really unhappy with the plastic Stryker mini, he's not very cool. I like the rest of them though.
I wasn't really amazed with the Cygnar resin Jack kits I got, the detail just isn't that great tbh. I mean, they're fine, but I would have preferred to get resculpts in metal...

Definitely agree that they should have stayed with metal, its what really attracted me to the game other than the rule set.

Personally I'd prefer plastic, or at least resin, to metal. Lighter, easier to put together, and easier to convert. Obviously they can't do multi-model plastic kits for beasts in the same way they can do jacks, which I guess makes it less commercially viable. Nonetheless, no reason why the infantry, solos etc couldn't be done.
