Hello everyone, Here is a little poll so that we can get an idea when is the most popular time to have a tournement. Please read below before voting since you will have a better idea of what we can achieve:
[1]Tuesday Night - we would split the tables in two (so you play on a 3x4 table) and play all night. This will probably consist of small mangled metal/tooth and claw games or a 1/1/1/1 style list. Nothing too serious but fast and fun
[2]Saturday - One day tournement on a Saturday, probably play 3 games, with 35-50pt lists. probably steamroller style event, but might make it crazy
[3]Sunday - Like Saturday, but on Sunday.
[4]Saturday and Sunday - Weekend event with between 5 and 6 games. 35-50pt armies, with steamroller format, though we might change this
[5]Whenever - You dont mind when it is, you will be there since you just want to play more warmachine and hordes
Saturday and Sunday sounds good as long as the event will be after 19th of september, untill then all my weekends are taken by school/work/sonisphere/family/holiday.. If you plan the tournament sooner it's option 1 for me.
BTW what is 1/1/1/1 list? One caster, one jack, one unit, one solo? How do you run hordes on this? 4 fury a turn? ;P
I dont think we will be running anything before september because it is just going to be difficult with holidays, etc.
The 1111 list is as you say, and Hordes players can suck it, HAHAHAHA! It is great for WM, but I think you are right that it will suck for hordes. We might change it to caster, beasts/warjacks, and max 1 unit, 1 solo. probably 15-20pts for a force, so slightly larger than battle box size.
I think its best to have this happen on a weekend. If we can plan it far enough in advance then everyone who wants to participate shouldn't have a problem making a week end. And I'm think 35pts, it be interesting to see the list that pop up for that lvl, seeing that its hard to fit everything you want in!
Well, I voted Saturday as that seems to be the quietest time for me at the moment.
Sorry I've gone a bit quiet and not shown my face recently. Things in RL have got a bit much for me and I'm trying to ease back into things.
Looks like July is a bit of a write off, but I have three weeks off in August if anyone is still interested. OK, I'm in the States for one week, but you know what I mean.
The issue with Tuesday night is its post work so we are all tired and probably stressed (at least in my case!)By moving to the weekend we can take a bit more time, go a little larger and have a decent day of it. I know those of you blessed (cursed?) with kids struggle with weekends, but if its only every so often?

For me to make it, it would have to be a weekend event. I voted for sat&sun, as I would personally prefer a more in-depth thingy if I come all the way down for something.
35 points is a level I really like, it makes you really think about what you want to put in, you can't always cover all your bases, and your choice of caster becomes more important...
Definitely my fav point level to play (aside from 100, which was awesome).
