There is one thing even a T10 Steamtank can not survive. The 8th rulebook being dropped on it from great hight.

I heard it can be effected by poison so that could be a way to wound it.
what about combat res vs stank? If it loses combat (could happen if out numbered, rank banner etc) what happens to it? No idea as have not either played against one or seen one in action!

War machines have been boosted with the crew being a lot more resilliant - T7 dark elves with the RBTs!! hmmm

Impressed though the GW got the FAQs out quickly . TKs seem to have come out all right, Incantations will be quite tough to dispell due to the sheer number of them TK players can throw out each magic phase. Will be a while before i can play a game with them though as have quite a lot of work to do....
GW have updated the FAQ a bit. They are just small changes. One of the biggest was the steamtank. It can now be effected by all magic but pit of shades for some reason. So lore of metal will work against it.

For somereason they removed the bit about the Steadfast rule and the skaven's strength in numbers rule.

Thank Nurgle for that.
I actually feel fine about facing the Stank with my Skaven: I'll just swarm it with rats (still wound on 6's!), throw some Globadiers at it and then charge a Felblade-wielding Lord into the side. You only have to take half it's wounds off and it will wreck itself through steam points anyway. Oh and now magic works against it, Crack's Call will make a mockery of it. *And* there's my favourite Skaven trick of all, but I don't want to discuss that here *shifty eyes*.

Dear Empire players, I CHALLENGE YOU to face me with your Steam Tank! Big Grin

Come to think of it, what happened to that special char Skaven version of the Steam Tank a few years ago, that thing rocked....

As for removing steadfast from Strength in Numbers, I'm actually glad. Leadership 10 Clanrats and Slaves is one thing, but making them Steadfast was plain broken. Skaven are supposed to be a Horde army with cheap troops, with the downside that they're weak and run easily if they lose ranks. LD10 Steadfast made them overpowered in my eyes.
well Stank has ws 3 so my bret lord will hit on 3's with the option of having each hit generate a new attack (but the new attacks don't generate any more). So up to 8 hits and then insult to injury I wound on 4's (magic weapon alters strength to targets T +1 unless base strength is more than this, but capped at 10 by the rule book)

Or go for the heroic killing blow option.
