Welcome one and all!
This is where anyone can post a challenge for a battle using any gaming system on the 18th November 2008.
Please ensure you have read the guidelines in the sticky thread at the top of the forum (or
*here*) before posting.
Remember, we need to know:
- Game System
- Time Slot (6pm, or 8:30pm)
- Friendly/Competative
- Are you looking for an opponent, or have you organised one?
- The army you are playing
Enjoy,
-Tom.
Please note: This is the last night the club is open before Christmas, we will be back on the 13th January.

Looking for Games:
I'm booking a PP table for Meatgrinder, as usual, and we will be putting 2 tables together for the WFB mega game, so regular spaces are a little more limited than normal.
Better book sooner rather than later!
1500 pt Eldar (again, but different... got my freakin' SM order a bit too late to properly build a Pedro army...)
Early session, friendly etc.
Tks
Like to book a table for the first session 40k vs Andrews' green skin horde
cheers!
I would like to re challenge jonluke to a 1500 40k match early session.
was unable to make last sessions due to pre tos tournament prepainting and post recovery
dave l ( with new eldar list)
WHFB MEGA:
Mike/Pete, my friend Soren and I will come along bringing Vampire Counts and Empire respectively.
What are the armies/players currently signed up for this? Are we doing a "good guys v bad guys" sort of thing? (would be cool and epic :-) )
Also, perhaps we could consider something like objectives and stuff. I definitely think we should use some of the "Special Objectives" rules from the Rulebook to add a bit of flavour.

Chris, check the mega battle thread for a current list of players, I think Tom was also interested in joining with his Dwarves/Slayers
And yes - good vs bad will be going on, and there will be objectives along with penalties for losing characters
I'll get a final list of whats going on up by weekend so far I'm thinking that everyone on that list brings 2000 points each, any other players bring 1000 points and we'll use the Desperation tokens from the Legendary battles rules to sort out any imbalance in points on the night
Sharan Reddy vs Jon Horsham
40k 1,500pts
Jon what session do you want?
Fatso, I'll give your Eldar a game. I've got Marines (new marines, looking suspiciously like Dark Angels...) First session 1500 pts, friendly game?

Hi Nick, sure thing! (I like DAs, unlike other (boring) people!)
hey guys looking for a 1500pts game any slot with my necrons, any takers?
Looking for a 40k game, any session! need a quick game before the GT if possible

Yes looking forward to it. 1750 points I assume?
Are two tables going to be enough for the Mega battle? I mean we normally use a single 6x4 table for 2k a side and we have 8k a side now. That would be like playing 4k on a normal table!
However I guess if that is all the space I'm sure we can squeeze in.
I'm leaving it at two table for the moment, until tuesday.
If the club looks like it will be quiet, then you may get a third.
However, you aren't quite thinking about this clearly.
A normal 2k game (in my experience) normally mostly takes place in about a 3 foot section of battlefield. The rest is mostly there for manoeuvring flanking units, or simply ignored.
I will probably set up the large table as either 12x4, or 8x6, depending on how many players show up on the night, and exactly what is decided upon as a scenario etc.
Just so I'm posting it everywhere, I will be at the club a little before 6, and will need at least one representative of the mega-game team there from 6 as well, to ensure it is set up and ready to go.
-Tom.
OK well as long as you think there is enough space and we won't be on top of each other I have no problem with it. I haven't played a game of this size for quite some years.
Also I will be there from about 6 so I can help if needed. Anyone mind if I bring my camera as well to take a few snaps of this battle?
I'll take you up on the offer Kiran - second session?

Sounds good, see you there at 8- 8.30 ish?
I would be happy to play you in the first session. I presume this is a friendly game. Do you need to borrow any models?

Hey Saryrn!
ya sure, a friendly game sounds really good to me, first slot sounds good.

what do u play?

I can play several races. But for a friendly game I was thinking I could try out the Tau. I think this could be good for 2 reasons: I havent played much with them, so a friendly game is a good time to test them out, and tactically I think they work better vs necrons than say nids (where it would be decided by how soon nids get into the necron lines). If you want me to play nids, or eldar or sisters or chaos, just let me know, thats fine too.
