Hey guys I wanted some input on my Vayl list. I had a real clencher against Nick last session - looking at my list again I'm not to happy with it. I was using a shredder as the model I was channelling through, but found that they aren't the ideal model for that (I kill my by mistake at a critical moment Tongue). The list was:

Vayl
Carni
Seraph
Teraph
2x Stingers
Shredder

5 Warspears
Shepherd
Forsaken

Now looking at the list I felt that I had to many lesser beasts. I like taking at least two lesser beasts, but I felt that I only needed one. Another thing is that I didn't use tenesity at all... I am also a bit skeptical on the warspears, They can take a beating but are expensive. I have also found that I like the teraph as a model for channelling through - but I lost my to a WW in the second turn, because I over extended myself. My new list is:

Vayl
Carni
Seraph
2x Teraphs
Shredder
Stinger

6 Legionnaires
2x shepherds
Forsaken

While I think this is a more solid list I still feel iffy about it. I considered dropping the forsaken - but she is a great phycological tool. I would like to max out the legionnaires, but at the expenses of what? I like having the option of using bushwack, but is it that important... Any thoughs anyone?
I'm not that set on two Teraphs dude.
One is very cool, but two?
I'm not sure I understand the list tbh...
Swarms have always worked out very well for her, I'd suggest trying something more akin to...:

Vayl
* Carnie
* Nephilim Protector
* Nephilim Soldier
* Teraph
* Stinger
* 3x Shredder
2x Shepherd
Forsaken
Warmonger Warchief

The Nephilim Soldier or Carnie are your primary nodes, but the Shredders can work out in a pinch...
The Warmonger is an infantry mowing machine, and Shepherds are probably the most annoying single point model in the game... Bum-hats.

That's just me, though.

Really the Soldier, thats an interesting thought. The protector I have been considering though. The Warchief is great. I definitely agree that one stinger is basically all you'll need with her. I'm kinda hesitent to drop the seraph, it feels a bit weird to be running a list with only one heavy.

The two teraphs were my primary nodes (in my mind). But AD on them might be a hindering thing for that, seeing as they'll be up in front making vayl advance quicker then I'd like (though I do play her quite up front anyway). You know what be and interesting thought, droping the carni for a scythean and seraph - essentially using two beasts to seperate the functions that the carni brings to the table. Do you mind me asking the reasoning behind the soldier? I don't know why I'm so hesitent to take him (he needs some loving too! Big Grin).
Basically, he's a cheapish beatstick, especially in incite range, his animus is really handy (spammed by Vayl on shredders, for instance, giving up to 3 rabid attacks each, handily dealing with units etc), and he's even more betterer with Chiller etc.
I also think you haven't really tried them out in mk2, maybe it's worth a shot!

I like the Seraph and Scythean combo, but it's a lot more expensive, and it misses out on some of the awesomeness of the Carnies spray and assault...

I think the Protector is quite essential with her, it's a nice little damage sink, and it's vaguely possible that people might hit her with a ranged attack...
Plus, he's not that bad at hitting people.
