So I wanted to start a thread for the backstory of Hordes/WM. Talk to the newer players one thing hit me, they were as familiar with the story arch as player from MK2, and one thing about this game that I enjoy is the rich on going story. Unlike 40k and WFB in Hordes/WM the story progresses - and the only way to get the fluff from MK1 is to buy the old MK1 expansion (that are no longer printed).
We've got a few player that have been playing from MKI and know a good amount of the back story for all the factions. So I want to invite both old and new players to start discussing the rich story of Hordes/WM. I think especially with the campaign starting up soon this would be an especially good way of getting into a story bases campaign!

I'm really rubbish at reading fluff (this also includes rulebooks), preferring to just get into the playing side, so I only just have a vague idea of the who's, what's, when's and why's.
I'm sure I have pdf's of all the old books but I know I will struggle to find time to read up on them. I will try and read these asap so I can help with driving the story.
Well I was hope that this thread be more for asking about what the story was for your faction, then having to read up on it your self. So an example would be you asked some questions about menoth's background and people would write back with there knowledge of their story. For example I'm not too versed in there story but knowthe bits that tie them together with cryx.
I guess I wasn't clear enough about what I hoping for.
Warhammer and 40k story progresses too

in WHFB only backwards.....see "storm of Chaos"

It progresses in circles... Things change, but everything stays the same.
Not necessarily a bad thing.

It seem ive caused offence. Look I love the 40k story, never been to keen WFB. But this thread isn't about 40k or fantasy battle. So please reframe from post thing that aren't relevant. This thread is for people interested in the hordes and WM story line which can be hard to get a hold of seeing as you have to have the original MK1 extensions - which aren't relevant for playing the now.
