Hi. I've always been interested in Inquisitor as a game, but have never found anyone who particularly wanted to play. Since you guys seem much more into a variety of games, I wondered if there was anyone who:
a) Had experience playing Inquisitor, or
b) Has never played but would be interested
I reckon this would be a cool game for Sundays afternoons at some point in the future, plus the painting/converting opportunities look awesome!
Inquisitor was GWs proper fuck up
They Tried to do an RPG / WH40k hybrid using a d100 system and 52mm minis (read Bigis

)
First problem how much 52mm terrain / bigis do you own?
Second there system was too basic re the RPG side compared to say what FF have done now and the rules were too loose or over complex in places like hit locations
Basicly Fantasy Flight have took over the RPG side of 40k and done a far better job if you want to try Inquisitor, Try Dark heresy.
Methinks your just trying to scratch your Rouge trader Itch! I know its painful building up your character then nothing happens (Eh Tim!) (Eh Andy!)
Told ya all August is out for me

You could be making and painting avatar minis for the sessions though

I know

but my Avatar is done

Oooh cool!

Pics?
coming as soon as ive decorated the bedroom

Oi! I can't help it if you all keep swanning off to gigs or Australia or don't reply to emails!

Anyway, as for Inquisitor, I kind of disagree with Paul: I think it's a great game. I think the scale was a mistake, if only due to the absolute dearth of miniatures, but the system itself is a really interesting mix and makes for an odd free-flow tabletop RPG. I think it confuses a lot of people, as they're not quite sure what it is, but I love it - I think it's sadly misunderstood.
Decorating?! pah. Next you'll be wearing a flowery pinny and calling yourself Josephine on Thursdays.
Decorating is a mans job, don't be fooled by those poncy designers of the telly (or down the club

) Real men paint walls white! its clean, modern and goes well with a straight edge!
And Tim... Its been what 7 months you cant blame us for 1 WE away!

Oh, I meant beardy Matt - he's there on holiday atm.
i gots the beard..
still waiting on the rogue trader book to arrive from amazon.. think it got lost in the mail. boooo.
They just released Death Watch!!! RPG SPACE MARINEZZZ!!! zOMG!!
I wonder how easy it'd be to RP a Space Marine, though:
shoot gun. pray. shoot gun. pray. shoot gun. pray... kill daemon. be mind-wiped. pray.
Unless you get into massive arguments with the rest of your battle brothers on the true nature of the Emperor and all start punching one another.
I guess you RP them as narrative "hero" Space Marines and not the general fluff "indoctrinated killing machines" Space Marines.
Or RP a Space Wolf and just turn up to the game drunk...
Tim, have you read Space Marine by Ian Watson?
THAT is the be all and end all of Marine stories imo.
I've not, actually; is it worth a look, then?
Yes... it will change your perspective on Space Marines and how they think and work.

If GW followed their own fluff more often, it would be a better setting for it lol
