I was talking to a few members last night about the terrain situation at the club. At the moment some pieces are in a sorry state. Rest assured that the commitee is aware of this and at the moment we are putting into action our plans of terrain renewal and the creation of new terrain. There are also plans to split the terrain into themed table boxes, so you have a nice set up.

The rulespack will follow very shortly in its final form and has been handled by ourselves at Team Octopii with select input from some of the most experienced and established players within our community.

The tournament is open to teams from all over Europe and is expected to be hotly contested as teams battle it out to see exactly who does “have a pair!”

There are tons of fantastic prize support throughout this event and Privateer Press themselves are providing some really cool and unique for the winners.

More details will unfold as the weeks pass by, in the meantime follow the links on the Maelstrom site to get your team tickets. They are on sale from today, Friday March 5th - first batch is of 100 tickets which could increase as a large chunk of these have already been pre-sold!

Please NOTE: Tickets are purchased individually at £30 per person, so make sure you put in your Team Name upon purchase. Every member of your team must have a ticket (so 4 total tickets). If you need more players for your team, please check out the thread link below to find player(s) to attend the event with!

Despite buying millions of the damn things, none of them are quite right for use in my gang, and the thought of modifying my painstakingly constructed gang roster to fit the models is horrible. So I guess I've got to start chopping arms off, but I'm scared I'm going to ruin them all.

Quite why the GW model-makers decided that Eschers should be equipped with stub-guns instead of swords is beyond me.

Anyway, what's the best way to go about this? I've got several scalpels, and some super-glue, but is that the best thing to use? I've not tried glueing metal like this, nor cutting it. Advice? And how many times can I keep cutting hands off and glueing them back on before the wrists just completely fall apart? As soon as I get more creds, all of the weapon sets should be getting an upgrade.

Also, not having a bits-box leaves me a bit short-sworded. If anyone has a few of these lying around, they would be greatly appreciated. Will trade beer for swords and a flamer on Tue Wink.

I am in love. I never thought we would get someone this good. He has a toolbox of abilities which can be applied to so many units. It is possible to get beast (when you are running another jack to activate overrun) to charge 19" (21" when you include reach). or you could move slowly an dhave stealth on him. STEALTHED BEAST. or stealth your demo corp or great bears for even more pain.

He looks like he will move fast, but also slow up the enemy to set up charges. He is also immune to any fire or corrosion damage, so screw you Legion, Cryx and Menoth, half your stuff doesn't work (I am going to make Oli cry). With sprint on him he can dodge in or out of combat to make sure he is safe, just got to pick the right targets.

Greylord UA for Doomreavers

He grants tough (5+ save, but knocked down)
Silence (can choose to stop making beserk attacks)
Frostbite Spray (Spray 8", POW 12 Magic Attack)

Cost is 1 pt!!!!

My goodness he is great. the big downside of doomreavers is they wipe each other out, not so now. Plus I get a spray to give them a little ranged effect if they are stopped from charging and running. Plus tough will make them hang around a little bit longer. Who doesn't end up with a point to spare, and now I have something to spend it on (wardog is auto include now).]]>

I stumbled across some references to Necromunda the other day while surfing the web, and it really made me nostalgic.

I used to have a set when I was younger, and loved it. I mean, I never had anyone to play against, but I would read all the rules and make gangs and try and play myself quite often. Terrible, I know.

Anyway, I did some digging and found dakkadakka.com, and then found you guys. I live in London (and am very amenable to pubs) so I was thinking I might pop down and see you. I don't generally go out and meet new people, so I wasn't sure, until I saw someone mention you are running a Necromunda campaign, so I guess it is still alive and well.

Anyway, some models etc are in the post, so hopefully in a week or two I can come along and meet some of you, have a drink, and watch a couple of games to get a feel for it.
